In fast-paced office environments, many professionals struggle to find time for self-care, leading to burnout, lack of focus, and emotional fatigue.

EaseUp offers context-aware, bite-sized calm routines that fit naturally into the workday — like Before Meeting Calm, Midday Breaks, and Focus Boosts. The app adapts to the user’s mood, schedule, and energy level, helping them build consistent mindfulness habits without disrupting productivity.

The goal was to design an experience that feels empathetic, effortless, and work-friendly, transforming short breaks into meaningful moments of calm.

The Challenge
Young professionals face rising levels of stress and anxiety at work but lack time and motivation to engage in long mindfulness sessions. Existing wellness apps feel generic and disconnected from real office routines.
The Solution
EaseUp provides quick, personalized mindfulness exercises tailored to users’ moods and work contexts — helping them stay calm, focused, and emotionally balanced throughout the day.

To explore why young professionals struggle with mental health, I conducted secondary research and user interviews with 5 participants aged 22–30 from creative and corporate backgrounds.

The goal was to understand their daily stress triggers, coping methods, and experiences with existing wellness apps.

I also analyzed popular apps like Calm and Headspace to identify engagement gaps and opportunities.

Research revealed a clear opportunity: young professionals need a personalized, low-effort mental wellness tool that helps them reset and refocus—without leaving their desk.

Busy professionals experience recurring stress and anxiety at work but lack a quick, personalized way to calm down and regain focus, leading to emotional exhaustion and reduced productivity.

I sketched early concepts focusing on micro-breaks, like calming before meetings, regaining focus mid-day, and unwinding after stressful calls.

A clear user flow emerged around checking in with mood, getting a quick suggested activity, and tracking calm progress over time.
A clear user flow emerged around checking in with mood, getting a quick suggested activity, and tracking calm progress over time.
Using Figma, I developed mid-fidelity wireframes and tested them with 3 working professionals. Users appreciated the short, guided routines and found the interface non-intrusive and comforting within their office setting.
